Stop guessing why you lost the job. Get job-loss intelligence.
BidEcho follows up on the bids you lost with a respectful one-tap survey and a small customer incentive you choose — so you win the job back, warm up the next one, or fix what cost you the bid.
Every lost job is a discovery. Or a recovered job. Either way, you stop guessing.
Review platforms only ask the customers you already won. BidEcho also asks the ones you didn't — and pays them a little to tell the truth. That's job-loss intelligence: the only feedback that actually changes how much money you make next quarter.
Wins generate reviews. Losses generate intelligence. Nothing is wasted.
Capture public reviews from wins, resolve issues mid-job, and gain honest intelligence from every lost bid.
Every customer lives in one of three states.
BidEcho meets them where they are — and turns every interaction into something you can use.
The job is done.
Turn satisfied clients into public proof. A short, well-timed review request goes out when the job is fresh — one-tap path to your Google review form, configure to sound like you, not us.
The job is active.
Catch small issues before they go public. Mid-job pulse surfaces concerns clients won't mention in person — while you can still resolve them.
They went with someone else.
This is where most tools stop. BidEcho starts. A respectful follow-up with a small incentive gets honest answers and sometimes wins the next job back.
The most valuable feedback you'll ever get comes from the customers you lost.
And it's the feedback you're least likely to ever hear. Lost prospects don't owe you a reason — so they don't give one. Meanwhile the same problem keeps costing you the next job.
Ghosted quotes
The proposal you were sure would close just… doesn't. No reply. No reason.
Silent losses
You don't know if it was price, response time, or a referral from a competitor.
Pattern blindness
Each lost job feels like a one-off. The recurring reason hides in plain sight.
Wrong fixes
You optimize the parts of the funnel you can see — not the part that's actually leaking.
Add a job. BidEcho handles the rest.
No integration to install, no CRM to migrate. You add a customer in 30 seconds; BidEcho takes it from there.
Add a job
Enter the customer's name, email or phone, and whether the job was won, active, or lost. Takes 30 seconds.
BidEcho sends the right message
Won jobs get a review request. Active jobs get a mid-job check-in. Lost jobs get a respectful "what happened" follow-up with an optional incentive.
Customers respond honestly
The message is human, not automated-feeling. Customers reply. You find out what's actually happening in your business.
You see everything in one place
Dashboard shows your review pipeline, active check-ins, and a growing record of why you're winning — or losing — jobs.
A 4-step survey your lost prospects actually finish.
When a quote is declined or goes silent, BidEcho sends a branded, one-tap survey with a built-in reward you can customize. Offer a discount on their next project and get them back in the pipeline.
- 1 · Intro & reward offer"Would you help us improve?" The reward (a discount toward their next project) is offered up front, before they answer anything.
- 2 · Pick a reason"What factored into your decision?" One-tap options: Too expensive, Went another direction, Timing wasn't right, Other.
- 3 · Optional detailsAn open text box for context — only after they've already committed to the reason. Response quality jumps because the friction is gone.
- 4 · Thank-you & redemption codeThe discount is delivered as a personalized, non-transferable code branded with your business — verified at intake by name when they come back.

Don't just learn why you lost. Win the job back.
A win-back is the survey-plus-reward you send to every lost bid. Prospects share why they didn't pick you — and walk away with a discount code branded with your business, redeemable next time they need your service.
- Set your own incentive. 5%, 10%, free re-inspection, Starbucks gift card — whatever fits your margin.
- Codes are tied to the customer. Non-transferable, verified at intake by name.
- Track every redemption. See win-backs sent, opened, replied to, and won back.
- Bring clients back into the pipeline. Re-engage lost prospects with a personalized offer.
Three things sit in every lost bid that almost no small firm captures.
The reason we built the lost-bid loop, in three parts. Each one does different work.
The feedback
Why the customer didn't pick you, in their words, not your guess. Patterns surface across enough responses that you can actually fix something.
The win-back
Some lost bids reopen when you follow up respectfully with a small incentive. Not most. Some. At your typical job size, "some" is meaningful.
The future pipeline
Prospects who don't come back immediately are warmer next time. Six months from now, when they need another job, they remember the firm that asked.
Every won job becomes proof. Every lost job becomes insight. Nothing is wasted.
Catch problems mid-project — before they turn into bad reviews.
A small concern your client doesn't voice at week two becomes a 1-star review at week six. For longer engagements — forensic structural evaluations, residential engineering investigations, permitting work, multi-day or multi-visit inspections — a quiet pulse check during the work surfaces issues the client wouldn't bring up in person. By the time the report is delivered, the small misunderstanding is already resolved.
- One-tap private rating. "How's the project going?" Short, respectful, easy to ignore if everything's fine.
- Negative signals escalate. Anything below a 4 alerts you in real time. You hear about issues while you can still fix them.
- Built for multi-visit work. Forensic investigations, residential engineering with drawings or permitting, multi-property inspections — anything where you're on a project for days or weeks, not a single appointment.
- Quiet by default. No-reply isn't a signal. Customers reply when they have something to say.

Collect Google reviews at exactly the right moment.
When a job closes successfully, BidEcho sends a short, human-feeling request. Text and email, timed to land while the experience is fresh. One tap takes your customer straight to your Google review form. Customizable text reads like you wrote it, not a marketing platform.
- Triggered when the job is marked done. SMS + email at the moment the customer is most relieved and most likely to leave a five-star review.
- Direct to Google. One tap from the SMS or email straight to your Google review form — no extra screens, no friction, no detours that drop response rates.
- Custom message templates. Edit the request copy per stage so it reads like you, not us.
- Built for Google. The platform that moves the needle for service businesses; we lead with it.

Show off your reviews on your site — automatically.
The reviews BidEcho collects sync to an embeddable widget you can drop on your website in one line of code. New reviews appear without you doing anything.
- 1 · Pick a widget layoutGrid, carousel, hero quote, or list. All responsive, all theme-able with your brand colors.
- 2 · Paste one line of codeWorks anywhere you can paste a snippet — Squarespace, WordPress, Wix, Webflow, plain HTML.
- 3 · Reviews update automaticallyBidEcho keeps the widget in sync with your Google profile. New reviews appear on your site as they come in.
Make every survey yours. Edit on the left. Live preview on the right.
Headlines, buttons, message text, timing, discount amounts — change anything you want. The preview shows exactly what your customer will see before you send a single message.
- Per-stage templates. Customize the review request, the mid-job check-in, and the lost-bid follow-up independently. Each has its own voice, its own timing, its own incentive.
- Live preview. See the exact message that goes out as you edit. No deploy step, no "save and test" loop.
- Brand-locked. Logo, colors, and message tone applied across every customer touchpoint — SMS, email, survey landing pages, thank-you screens.
- Reset to defaults. Don't want to write your own copy? Use the BidEcho defaults — we've already drafted respectful, on-brand messages that work for most service businesses.

Everything else most platforms charge extra for.
No paywalls, no upsells. Branding, alerts, and a shareable review link — included in the $30/mo tier.

Looks like you, not us.
Logo, colors, and message templates per workflow stage. Every customer-facing message reads like it came from your business.

Alerts that fit your day.
Choose what you're alerted on, when, and how. Negative mid-job responses can ping you in real time; the rest rolls up to a weekly digest.

One repeatable review URL.
Drop it in your own emails, invoices, or email signature. One repeatable URL with the same direct Google review path — and every tap is tracked alongside your automated requests, so you can see what's actually generating reviews.

Why this exists
We're Christy and Josh Runnion, co-owners of IECertify — a family-owned California licensed Professional Engineering firm. Most of our work is FHA/HUD foundation certifications for manufactured homes across California and Oregon (quote-driven, escrow-timed, four engineers per job). We also do forensic structural evaluations and residential engineering locally around Sacramento — longer, multi-visit investigations into cracks, settlement, framing, water damage, and permitting work for homeowners, realtors, and insurance adjusters.
We started building BidEcho for a pragmatic reason: the review software we were paying for at IECertify cost more than the math justified at our size. We figured we could build it better and cheaper for our own use.
Then we got more ambitious. There's a real opportunity sitting in every lost bid that almost no small firm captures — the feedback, the chance to win the work back with a small incentive, and a warmer pipeline for the next time the customer needs you. We also need mid-job check-ins ourselves on the longer forensic projects, where a small concern that goes unspoken at week two becomes a 1-star review at week six.
IECertify is BidEcho's first customer. We use it on foundation certs and forensic engagements every month. That overlap is on purpose, and we'd rather you know than guess.
Josh Runnion, PE (CA + OR, licensed since 2006) · Co-owner, IECertify
Every lost job becomes a data point — or a recovered one.
One view tracks the full lifecycle: how many win-backs went out, how many got replies, how many came back as paid work, and what reasons keep showing up.
- Open rate, reply rate, and win-back conversion per campaign
- Auto-categorized reasons (price, timing, communication, channel)
- Revenue-recovered counter from rebooked jobs
- Pattern detection across responses as the data grows
We're not a review platform. We're a loss-intelligence platform.
Review tools only ask the customers you already won. BidEcho was built around the opposite question: why didn't they pick you?
A job-loss intelligence platform, built by a working engineering firm.
BidEcho is a lost-bid follow-up and feedback platform for small service businesses. We measure why work is lost, where it can be won back, and how the next quarter's pipeline gets warmer. Built and operated by IECertify, a California licensed Professional Engineering firm, and used inside IECertify every week for continuing improvement.
Real customer data. Real founders. Real product.
Every figure in your dashboard is a real customer response — survey replies from lost prospects, ratings from mid-job check-ins, public reviews from completed work. The founders, Christy and Josh Runnion, sign their work with their names and license numbers (PE C70282, CA + OR).
Field pros who win and lose work on conversations.
If your business runs on estimates, proposals, and quick replies — the gap between "won" and "ghosted" is where BidEcho lives.
The stuff people actually ask before they sign up.
If you have a question we don't cover here, email support@bidecho.app — you'll usually hear back the same day.
Do you integrate with ISN, Spectora, Jobber, HouseCall Pro, or ServiceTitan?
Why we actually recommend starting manually: blindly automated systems spam every dead lead, which can annoy local clients. Spending 30 seconds to selectively trigger a win-back follow-up ensures you only gather intelligence from the high-value bids you actually wanted to win. Need to backfill a week's worth at once? CSV upload takes under a minute. Direct integrations are on the way — see Coming next below.
Will my lost prospects actually respond to a "why did you go with someone else" message?
More than you'd expect. The discount incentive is what changes the math. Without an incentive, response rates to lost-bid surveys are typically in the single digits. With a small discount offer, we're seeing response rates in the 10–20% range — and that's with a message that emphasizes learning and improvement, not discounts. It's a respectful, low-friction way to get clients back in the pipeline, and feedback you wouldn't have gotten otherwise.
Is this going to feel spammy or robotic to my clients?
No. Every message is written to sound like it came from you, not a marketing platform — short, human, no pushy language, no five-star emoji. Message templates are fully editable.
Why does your first customer share an owner with you?
Because we built BidEcho for our own firm first. IECertify (iecertify.com) is co-owned by Christy and Josh Runnion. BidEcho was built for IECertify's use; once it worked, we opened it to other small service firms. We'd rather you know than guess.
What review platforms do you support?

Yes. No annual contract, no cancellation fee, no overage billing. Cancel from your account settings; if you cancel mid-month, your account stays active until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. Plus a 30-day money-back guarantee for any new customer.
Who owns my data?
You do. Your client list, your campaign history, your review feedback — all of it. Export anytime. If you close your account, we provide a full export and then delete your data.
